Fault Management (FM) is one of the pillars of service assurance in any communications service provider business.

Fault Surveillance

Received events are processed to manage the active alarm table. Alarms are created, acknowledged, updated and cleared by fault events. The active alarm table may be managed by TM Forum’s TMF642 Alarm Management API. A progressive web app (PWA) is providing implementing web components for managing the active alarm table, event logs and provides a dashboard.

Event Collection

SigScale FM includes VES collectors for receiving events formatted using ONAP’s VES standard. SigScale provides collectors implementing SNMP managers for 3GPP Alarm IRP (3GPP TS 32.111-2) with upstream VES. TM Forum’s TMF642 API may be used to receive alarms as well.
